As a Night Ambassador with the ByWard Market District Authority (BMDA), you’ll play a key part in creating a safe, inclusive, and welcoming atmosphere in one of Ottawa’s most iconic nightlife districts. This pilot program—launched in partnership with the City of Ottawa’s Nightlife Commissioner—is inspired by leading initiatives in Montreal and Vancouver.

The Communications Coordinator supports the promotion of key events and festivals in the ByWard Market District, from Winterlude to the ByWard Barket. This role focuses on drafting and coordinating signage, maintaining web content, and managing written communications with partners and businesses. The successful candidate will bring strong writing skills, design awareness, and strategic thinking to ensure a consistent and engaging public experience across all seasonal programming.
